Biographical Data

Education

A Registered Pharmacist by profession, Jim was the Chief Pharmacist/Patient Consultant at the Rosewood Medical Center. A graduate of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy at Washington University Medical School/Barnes-Jewish Complex, Jim is now a full time Drug Prevention Educator and Consultant.  He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Pyschopharmacology.

 

Experience

Active in Drug Prevention Education for the last 25 years, Jim has taught nearly 9,000,000 students in grades K through 12, and in colleges and universities as well.  His presentations for high school and college athletes have been immensely popular and effective for both their educational and motivational content.  To date, Jim has taught, presented, or keynoted in nearly 10,000 schools, a multitude of faculty and professional in-services, state and local conferences, service and community organizations, and law-enforcement professionals.

In 1987-88, Jim was chosen as the "PHARMACIST OF THE YEAR" for the United States.  This recognition was accorded him for the quality, quantity, and results of his dug prevention education efforts with students and communities.  The award was presented to Jim by President and Mrs. Reagan at White House ceremonies.
